The Plan

Its been a while since my first post but not much has changed if I'm honest! I am now in my 3rd year of uni still studying the dreadful LAW!! I'm a few months off graduating- so so close yay! I have now made my game plan and a lot has changed with my game plan since Mr Cameron was appointed our prime minister. With this sudden rise in the Uni fees I'm going to take a year out after this and work for a year raising money to cover costs such as tuition and travel since I wont be able to apply for another student loan. During this year out I'm going to study the sciences, which I am soooooo excited about!! I absolutely love science, but my mind has forgotten a fair bit since high school! Hello 5 years! I'm not going to be taking any courses, just got a bunch of alevel and GSCE books to study from, from home ( I sometimes get distracted and read them when i should be reading up on my law! DOH). Sometime in September I am going to apply to my chosen medical schools (I have 4) and get ready for the GAMSAT and all that jazz, eeeeeek! Over the summer I am travelling for a month which i kinda regret now, but hey ho, I have to much to save for and too much to do!!
SO that's where I'm at, I'm going to be documenting a lot more when things actually get going!
So ta ta for now :)

Hello there!

SOOO this is my first blog! I'll give you a bit of input before I start. I'm 20 years old. I'm gonna remain anon, but I am female. I have a boyfriend. I go to uni, not the best one in the world, not the worst, in the UK. I study law, which i HATE. When i was 18 years old choosing my course to study at uni i chose law, because of 2 things. 1. I thought it would be INTERESTING... i was very very wrong. OK so criminal law interested the hell out of me. I loved it with a passion. But things like property or eu law, really, really bored me. Secondly, I'm very very ambitious. I aim high. Law seemed like a challenge and my god it is! The concepts are not hard, but its very hard to achieve and do well in it when you lack passion. And this is something i just dont have for this subject.

I did a years work experience with a firm, and i learnt a lot. But not about law, about myself. I learnt that... to succeed in law, you need to be a certain type of person. Its not about justice, its a business. You need to be spunky, you need to wanna argue and make money out of people. And this is not what i wanted to do.

I cried for like ages. I'm in my second year and I figured out... I'm failing!! And to top it off i hate my degree, and i dont want to pursue a career in law. Imagine figuring this out in your second year of uni, a week before your exams. My boyfriend told me... well do what YOU wanna do then. I dont know what i wanna do, i replied to him. And then he asked me what it was i wanted to do when i was little.
I replied. I wanted to be a doctor and help people. The whole reason i went into law was to help people, and well, you just dont do that with law. You do all you can to get as much money out of them as possible. Thats not me!
My boyfriend laughed when I said this, he said i should do something with animals, because im caring. And i am caring. And to nice for my own good. But then it hit me... why don't i just go for it?
SO thats what i'm doing.
